We stayed in a resort hotel called “RIMBA Jimbaran BALI by AYANA” during our Golden week (we have holidays from the end of April to the beginning of May) 2018.
It is one of the best resort hotel in Bali, Indonesia. In the local language, RIMBA means “forest” and AYANA “a relaxing place.”
Here is a hotel room in Rimba. Nice size, nice foresty color. From the balcony, we could see the garden and the pool.
Sunset at the Rock Bar - enjoy it at a priority seat by staying in Ayana Resort.
One of the most famous sunset places in Bali is the Rock Bar. It is a part of Ayana Resort. As we were staying in Rimba, which is a part of Ayana Resort, we were prioritized and could get priority seats in the bar.
Here is a picture we took before going down to Rock Bar. I think it was around 5:45pm in the evening. An ocean view with a sun reflected on the surface of the water was, just, breathtaking.
Kubu beach, an excellent private beach of AYANA Resort.
Although it is not required to order something at the beach, we still ordered a cocktail and a juice. They had a variety of mojito and juice, as well as the drinks as they served in the Rock Bar.
It was my first time in my 26 years to see this beautiful ocean. We also visited Nusa Dua, Kuta and other beaches, however, I think this Kubu beach was the most beautiful.
Still, we need to be careful about the Kubu beach that it has sometimes high waves. For instance, there were a red flag meaning "beware of the high waves" on the day we went there. We could actually see waves of more than 2m high beating the shore. So, when we want to swim in the water safely, I think it would be better to go to Nusa Dua or Kuta sometimes.
Not only a private beach, but AYANA Resort has a variety of pools.
Here is the main area of Rimba's pool. The pool had this lush garden around it like a forest (Rimba). This made us feel even more in a resort mood. They had a double-bed sized sofa where we could lie down on, so we relaxed there for a while.
The next picture is the "Adult only" area. I do not think it was very noisy in other areas, still, there were some couples of family with small children. Compared to the other areas, this area was quiet and we could enjoy floating in the quiet pool.
They had pools, restaurants, rooms in Rimba in addition to what mentioned in this article. We definitely want to go back to Rimba again, and recommend you to try this hotel if you are visiting Bali.

Of course all the staffs in Rimba were very good at English conversation. Also, as they have many Japanese passengers, it seemed that they have staff who can even communicate in Japanese as well.

On our second day at Rimba, housekeepers made a small elephant with a towel and put it in our bed. It was such a sweet experience.

After ordering drinks and snacks, all you have to do is just to relax, enjoying the sun going down, with the sound of waves and the background music.
We ordered Rock Bar's original cocktails. Leaves of kaffir limes made the drink Southeast Asian flavored. Each of them was very good, indeed.

We went to Kubu beach on a sunny day. From Rimba to the beach, you take a shuttle bus (just like a Tuktuk in Thailand) that drives you around Ayana Resort once every 10 minutes.
Once we let the beach staff know our room number, they took us to the beach sofas. Despite of this excellent beach, there were just some couples of people and it was not crowded at all.
